A little bourbon in your coffee.

Wedding videography for couples that live for the sleepless nights. Whether it be cities or mountains. Alongside your fleet of friends or together alone. The couples that know mornings are best spent together in bed, sharing your favorite songs with a little bourbon and coffee in hand. Weddings aren't about perfectly pressed suits, and intricate updos. It's about creating the ultimate moment to show the world who you are together as a couple. I'm here to capture it in a way that's as genuine, passionate, and wild as you are.

Wedding videography is a luxury, so it should feel like one.

You know what’s not a luxury? Your marriage license. Which is why it’s ugly, it’s inconvenient to get, and everyone gets the same thing. This should not be your experience with your videographer. The key word there is experience. You’re only a bride (or groom!) for one day - you wanna feel like Kanye-friggin-West.

How to feel like Kanye:

  • Be able to trust your videographer (and every vendor), because you’ve got more important things to worry about like getting married.

  • Have a connection with your videographer - if we had to sit next to each other at a bar it should be bomb.com, not fake-a-phone-call-and-run

  • Get that artsy person filming. You don’t want some robot-like-videographer shooting straight from the same shot list he uses for everyone else’s wedding. Cuz I’mma let you finish, but your wedding was the best wedding of 2017 - so you deserve a unique film.

  • You want your film to be finely crafted, because you didn’t spend every free moment over the last 8 months planning, to have it be documented in any other way.

  • Spam twitter with ”thought provoking tweets”. This is key.

Wild, emotion-driven style.

This is one of the most memorable moments of your life, and I don’t take that lightly. I'll be there to candidly document your celebration with everyone you love, while creatively portraying the emotion and energy of you feel while becoming newlyweds.

It's About the Feeling.

Everybody wants a wedding film so that they can relive the FEELING they experienced on that day, over and over again. This is where the art of storytelling comes into play, and this is why you googled “professional wedding videographer” instead of just asking your cousin Jimmy to film it on his iPhone X.

In your highlight film, I include all aspects of your wedding that are important to you, in a way that triggers the emotions you felt on that day. That’s what this is all about. It’s not about being able to go back and rewatch Aunt Betty do the cha cha slide 50 times ha.  I promise you will have more footage of Aunt Betty than you could ever hope for thanks to your guests (#bestweddingof2018). What I'm there for is to make sure that you have a film to show your friends, family, future grandkids, and anyone else with 4 minutes to spare. They'll understand the emotion of your story, and who you are as a couple.

Boldly Together.

I can't stress this enough. It's your wedding, be who you are. Ditch meaningless traditions and fill the time with meaningful new ones. I want to capture the most genuine, human version of who you are as a couple. Craft your day and hire a videographer that connects with who you are. Whether you're the badass couple rocking shades, or tackling your groom on the side of a mountain. Take who you are as a couple, and run with it. Unafraid, unapologetic, and in the moment. It's the one day where truly nothing else matters besides you two, and that's my favorite story to tell.

Let’s get coffee (or a beer!), I want to hear everything imaginable about you both - aaand photos of your cat are always a plus too. The more I know about you (and your fur children), the better because we’re about to spend more time together on your wedding day than you will with your spouse. It’s kind of crazy when you think about it! No one wants some stranger showing up with a camera and following them around on their wedding day (awkwaaaardd!) I want to know who you are as a couple, if you’re Team Waffles or Team Pancakes (one of life’s greatest debates), and every detail of your wedding day plan. The better we know each other, the more I’m able to integrate who you truly are into your film.

More than a Vendor.

I want to pour into my couples all that I can to help them plan and creatively capture their day. Everything from timeline assistance, to vendor recommendations, to scouting locations. I want to help in any way that I can, and provide each couple with the best experience possible during your planning process as well as on your wedding day! I want to be there for everything you need to ensure your day goes smoothly, and that your film is as bomb as you are.

Let's Travel.

Seattle, Washington based | Central, Illinois grown | Frequent traveler

I pride myself in being that person that will book a flight across the globe the second I get an email from Scott's Cheap Flights. So I want to make it as easy as possible for any couples that want to do the same. All my packages and pricing include travel costs, so you don't have to worry about budgeting or planning a thing - I'll be there.

Feel Confident Knowing Your Story Will Be Told.

This is one of the memorable moments of your life, and I don’t take that lightly. You’ve spent months planning it, and years anticipating it. I want nothing more than to shower my couples with love, and for you to know you’ve got the best team possible helping you rock your wedding day as if you’re Kanye Freaking West.

I get to know every couple so that I can fully understand your story. I genuinely love every couple I work with, and I love knowing more than giving them the perfect film. Seriously. Like, my love languages are Acts of Service and Giving - it doesn't get much more perfect haha.

Filming & Post Production.

I will ask you every question imaginable to get to know about you as a couple, every detail about your day, and what your hopes are for your film.  I take all of this and use it to approach how I film your day. Don't get me wrong, I definitely have a style, but everything is focused around how to tell your individual story.

In post production I hand sort there every inch of footage and select the moments I feel reflect your day the best. From there I spend countless hours crafting your story, custom color grading each shot, and obsessing over every detail from not only my viewpoint as the videographer, but from yours as the couple. This is your film for a lifetime. I'm determined to tell the story in the absolute best way I can.

Let's be real. Music can make or break a film. And it's completely subjective. What is amazing in one person's eyes can be horrendous to another. That's why I custom select a song for each one of my films. So that you get a song that perfectly reflects your wedding day, and reminds you of nothing else except your day - because it’s 100% your song.

I’ve spent up to 3 hours scouring music licensing sites for a single song, and then an additional 3 hours chopping it up and reworking it to craft the story I’m trying to tell. That's how important I think music is.

I have a slew of questions to go over with each couple before the wedding day so that I can learn what styles of music you like, what songs have been important to you as a couple in the past, what music from other wedding videos you’ve liked, how you’re imagining your own wedding film, etc. On the day of your wedding, I pay close attention to the music and personality of everything going on.  And then I take all of this information and search through licensing sites to find a song that best reflects each moment of your day. Sometimes it’s the most unexpecting song that really conveys the emotion of that moment. From there I slice and dice it to perfectly fit your film, sometimes it doesn't even end up sounding like the same song when I'm done.

This is what you should expect from your wedding videographer. You're hiring someone for their artistry, their style, and the skillset they've acquired over the years. You should expect the most emotion-drive, creative film to represent your day. This is what you're going to be sharing with people for the rest of your lives together, so let's make it great.
